NEW DELHI: The Nifty Financial institution index closed on a unfavorable notice on Monday.
Shares of IDFCBANK(up 1.53 per cent), Financial institution of Baroda(up 1.16 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Financial institution(up 0.4 per cent), Punjab Nationwide Financial institution(up 0.39 per cent) and Bandhan Financial institution(up 0.21 per cent) ended the day as high gainers within the pack.
However, HDFC Financial institution(down 0.61 per cent), ICICI Financial institution(down 0.22 per cent), AU Small Finance Financial institution(down 0.1 per cent), Axis Financial institution(down 0.06 per cent) and State Financial institution of India(down 0.01 per cent) completed as the highest losers of the day.
The Nifty Financial institution index closed 0.1 per cent down at 43944.2.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 38.1 factors at 18601.5, whereas the BSE Sensex stood up 99.08 factors at 62724.71.
